All around great tool, saves buying two tools with a shaft and pick swap.
very easy to change shaft ends in field but not practical to change pick end unless you have patience, indoors (not to be changed on site...)
This ice axe is the perfect weight, built like a tank and made to use and abuse under all sorts of conditions from ice climbing, water fall, glacierwalking, mountaineering, scrambling etc...
Overall excellent compromise of tool for all conditions and it has never failed me.
