I agree with the coments made in the first review- Boukereev is a true and humble hero, where as Krakauer is one-sides and after self gratification. He seems to try to reduce the blame he has faced for incorrectly reporting climbers back safely. Similar Products Used: None |

Krakauer, though I appreciate his writing, tends to be very one sided. Check out the book Burokeev(spelled correctly?) wrote- called "The Climb." Similar Products Used: None |

Doesn't do the excellent book much justice. A lot of detail is left out, especially the background stuff, and the mountain scenes are not very convincing. It really is a TV production and the low-budget quality shows - which is very different from bigger productions like "K2". If you've only seen this movie, go get the book, which will fill in a lot of the blanks. Similar Products Used: "K2" |
