I haven't yet been to the park, but I can already tell from hitting some rollers that this board has more pop than anything I've ever ridden. Eden Prairie tow truck service Weakness:

The rocker take a little getting used to. I rode my old board on the tail, weight back always. The new board lets you be more centered, you actually ride better leaning downhill into the chop while carving. If you go too much in the back seat on chop it gets a little wavy, but never chatters. Once on edge, the board corners like a monorail. It cuts a super deep line and doesn't let go. Trailer Repair Weakness:

I got this board at a garage sale and I love it. Does not have a lot of flex but I love the amount of flex it has. Once waxed and sharpened this board can fly. Works good in back country, park, and just riding. I love this board. |

Being 6'2" and 205 lbs with size 12 feet it is not always easy finding a board to fit me and ride fast. I've ridden mainly wide boards to give me float in the powder. Got this board this year and have since had a big fat smile on my face (except when my buddies marr it on the chair lift... it's easily scatched). First run off the lift I put skiers to shame as I flew by them carving a mean deep cut in the snow and going faster with better control than ever before. This board has amazing control in the woods. groomers and powder. Very stable on the landings also. I am not a park guy and believe that the board would be to stiff for rails or the pipe. I would definitely recommend to any freerider that likes to go fast. P.S.- Ladies love the wood!! Customer Service Slow shipping but well packaged Similar Products Used: K2

The first thing I thought as is strapped this board to my feet was "wow this board is beautiful." I got off the lift and shot past the the other riders on the chair. My second though was "wow this board is fast."

I'm 5'11", size 10 boot, 185 lbs, riding a 158 cm. My first impression is that the board is wide. It has deep cut-outs, and is very stiff laterally (heel to toe) so intially seemed a little hard to initiate a turn. I got used to it quickly, and this wide feeling turned into a feeling of great stability, with some amount of effort required to turn it. I was comfortably riding much faster than I had been on groomed, crunchy ice, and it held a line well, with no squirrely feeling gliding straight ahead with the board flat. Very slick, fast bottom that had me passing others who had stopped to skate on flat connecting routes between slopes. later in the day it warmed up, the snow got soft, and the board was unridable. It stuck to the slush, and caught edges very easily. As for the construction of the board, it is flawless. High gloss finish on the wood, that you have to treat with respect. This is not a quick turning park/pipe board, it is a go fast, keep up with skiers, carve-fest, float over powder, hold an edge on anything, cold day board, that of course, is very unique in it's appearance. It is expensive (2 star value at list price, but on sale everywhere in the states now, so 4 to 5 depending on how much you actually pay), and you pay for very good construction, a beautiful appearance, and uniqueness. 4 star overall rating is for it's relatively limited scope of use- not an all-around, do everything board, but what it does, it does very well. This is one bada$$ board, and is worth the money. I was immediately better with this board. The edge sticks, and keeps sticking when powder goes to ice and back. It turns much faster than the size (166) would indicate. It's light, and stiff, and handles like a dream. |
