Strength:
Ridged base plates. Great toe-heel control and responsiveness. Easy to use, and you never have to sit down on the cold snow if you don't want to.
Weakness:
None as long as you learn to clear snow from your boot before stepping in. I have been using clicker bindings ever since they were first introduced in 1996. I still have my original titanium clicker base plates. The new series is even better. I agree that snow does pack into a boot but so does snow pack into a strap binding before you strap your foot down. Its all about learning the quirks of your equipment. Although this product maybe built well and withstand alot of beating, the design is a terrible one. I liked this binding and disliked it. It was good because i never had a problem with them bending or breaking, but if you had to walk at all before getting into the binding snow would get jammed into the boot where the back springloaded piece would fit in. this made it impossible to get into the binding. |
