I built 3 RPL's from blemish blanks. After 15+ years of use, I find that I am surprised by their ability. I have quite a few other rods (Winston, Sage, St. Croix) and none of them put a smil on my face like the old Sages. The 6 weight is the best 6 wt I have ever used. It performs best in the worst situations. Big, bushy salmon flies in the wind, heavy streamers with a sink tip, or weighted nymphs below lead, dropper, and strike indicator.

I should just leave the other rods at home.

Best rod I have. Casts very well with a DT and is powerfull enough for larger trout.

Customer Service

Very good. Rod tip was broken during use and was replaced by Sage, no questions asked.

Strength:

distance- accuracy- can cast all day long without tiring out.

Weakness:

absolutely none, zilch!

Excellent Rod! Hard fighting Bass to Spooky Trout. Fast Action with precision acuracy with such little effort. My favorite line is Orvis Wonderline for its versitility and distance! Can't beat the Sage at any Price!!!!
