I have the Scott F703. This is got to be the best small creek fiberglass rod I have ever had. It cast like a dream! It cast great close with barely any line out and just the same with 40 feet of line out. Incredible, thanks Scott for make a great rod! Highly recommend this rod! |

Strength:
Does whatever I ask of it. Strong, durable, light in weight, surprising amount of power to fight big fish in current, casts so easily (I'm a side-armer). price, attractiveness.
Weakness:
none to date, except hard to find fly dealers who sell fiberglass rods or blanks. (too in-expensive I guess). A most delightful rod. One of the best of the 40 I have. I use it for everything from 6" bluegill to 20" smallmouth to 15 pound carp. If it's in my rivers I'll use my 6'6" Scott to catch it. There are no issues with casting up to 40', with flies up to 4" in length with split shot. I love fishing with light, light rods for big fish. This does the job phenomenally. I built it from a blank. Customer Service Never had to use, but when I email Scott with questions, they reply promptly and to the point. That's a wonderful sign. Similar Products Used: Sage, G. Loomis, |
