Strength:
Excellent for playing small to larger fish (to 6+ lbs.) Good for medium casting distance, the length is excellent for float tubes. Also good for deep water fishing.
Weakness:
Not the best for long distance casts from boat on stillwater or long distance on steelhead. Excellent, smooth "medium soft" rod. I have the 9''6", ideal for float tubes. I believe it is no longer available in that length. I''ve used it on large lakes in Idaho, Montana and Oregon, and have thrown nearly every line, including intermediate through Type 6, 6 & 7 weight shooting head and to Type 5, 6 wt. full sinking lines without problems. I''ve also used it on the Klamath for steelhead with excellent success. This rod has a delicate tip, allowing a hard set on steelhead and larger trout with a fairly light tippet. Customer Service Excellent!! I broke about 2" off of tip after having it for 5+ years, not while fishing, and repaired it myself. I mentioned it to the dealer about 11 months later, he told me to bring it in, shipped Similar Products Used: Sage,Cabela''s |
