Strength:
Long, accurate casting. We often have to throw very hevily weighted nymphs and indicators in the larger rivers. Light weight for all day on the river without the pain. Mine is matched to a Hardy Ultralite Disk.
Weakness:
Reel seat. Occassionally have trouble removing the reel after a days fishing. I have been fly fishing NZ waters for six years. I own two sage RPL series rods as well as several locally manufactured flyrods. My Scott is the "hands down" favorite and sees the most use for both lake and river fishing. We often find ourselves fishing tough and windy conditions for very large trout. My STS906 has landed four double figured trout. I have broken three nets in the past two years, but not the rod.
