Strength:
All of them all at once (except high price).
Weakness:
None. The 3pc, 8foot, #4, is, in my opinion, the most perfect graphite fly rod ever made. Period. Customer Service Exceptional. Similar Products Used: Sage, T&T, Orvis, Loomis, Hardy. |

Strength:
Delicate action. Great control. Plenty of rod for a 5 pound fish. And it's beautiful.
Weakness:
Less effective than other Winston rods for streamers. If there are gusty winds, you'll need more rod. My IM6 4 weight is the TMF model, which is the best dry fly rod I've ever thrown, bar none. Weight is really about 3-3/4, can handle 3 or 4 weight lines. Winston has put most of the action in the tip, which takes a while to get used to but once mastered allows great delicacy and accuracy of presentation, even more accurate than Winston rods for smaller lines. I had mine made with an uplocking reel seat, which I recommend. Customer Service Every time I've sent something to Winston I've been pleased with timliness and attention given by the staff. Same goes for customising requests on the rods. Similar Products Used: Sage; Gatti; Scott |
