My father was the one who made these V-boats for Pete Ross. He still has regular clients that send them back to him to fix and update.

I have had my Gliderider V boat for nearly 15 years and would not have any other. It does it all and more.
I need a new valve assembly...can anyone recommend a source?
Valve Cap reads: Alligator.Germany

12th one made using cordura.At 6'5" and
265lb.s it carries me through the water
than any previous tubes I've had.

GOOD NEWS
The WOOD RIVER CO.is alive and well however it is living in England.Pete
sold his patent to Steve Pardon in Nottingham and and is not only selling
the v-boat but,and here is the good news,
he is also selling replacement bladers.
They are a three piece system now but can be adapted easily. He is also handling a
variety of other style replacement bladers
Check him out at spartonfly@dial.pipex.com.
The wood river is aprox. $132 with
shipping.A bit pricy but better than throwing out your tube.

Gliderider SE: I believe Wood River Prducts Co. is currently out of business. I feel sorry for all float-tubers who will not be able to have one of these fantastic 'V' Boats. They are rugged and versitile. If you find a used one, in good shape, Buy it!

Customer Service

Always excellent.

Strength:

Low profile fights the wind, tough cordura shell is strong. V-shape is the best. Comfortable. Light 7 lbs. Has added immense joy in fishing. Discovered this tube on Yellowstone Lake being used by a fellow fisherman. The wind howls out there in the afternoon, he just kept kicking along, while my round tube is blown all over. Waders do not wear at the crotch. BEST TUBE ON THE MARKET! EXEMPLARY CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Weakness:

@240 lbs. water does tend to splash down my back. I need "higher" chest waders. Maybe, the NEW V-II with its wider pontoons would prevent this?

Great comfortable tube. Super durable.

Customer Service

EXCELLENT!

Strength:

I like the strong thick cordura shell. like I said the shape of the boat is perfect, the boat stays very steady even in strong winds.

Weakness:

price, I think it''s hard to justify paying $500, they normally ask for this float tube, here

The shape of this boat is very good, you don''t have any problems kicking against the strong winds we often have here. I really need the extra strong 1000 denier, codura shell. for me it''s often difficult to get in/out since there are a lot of slippery pointy rocks along the shore, sometimes I scrape the boat against the rocks especially when you tend to fall/loose balance.enough storage for raingear, flyboxes, reels/spools, drinks, snacks, etc.I can believe people who have tried more float tubes, who say that this one is probably the best, as I think it is
