I was torn between an x-lander and an advizor, and ended up getting the advizor. It worked really well, for about 3 months. After 3 months the time just randomly blanked out and reset to january 1 4:00 pm 2000 every day or so. I ended up not using the heart monitor anyway, so I took it back and got an advizor. Anyway, I did get a great price on the advizor, but the casio I had previously lasted over 3 years with no problems, so I was a bit disappointed. Sufficiently accurate when referenced to a known altitude. Does not drift more than a hundred feet over an entire day. Convinient features like the cumulative ascent and logbook are great tools to evaluate performance. The heart rate feature is extremely useful in training, with alarms set to predetermined upper and lower limits. Customer Service I've had the Advizor for over six months now and it has seen a fair amount of action but not the manufacturer's customer service yet.
