I bought this bivy lightly used, and have used nothing else for about 30 nights out over the past three years. Works in cold, with enough volume for big down bag, and works in warm, with big screened area available. I bring a small sil-tarp to cover the head area in rain, and the combo just plain works. Setup measured in seconds. Material has held up well. Being lazy and liking to travel light, and having no tendency to claustrophobia, this shelter works well for me.

Like most of the reviewers, I found there was plenty of headroom and rugged construction. It is probably more suited to less humid weather than I typically experience in the damp, marshy areas where I canoe. My only complaint is that when you zip down the cover and rely on the mosquito netting on hot nights, all the mosquitoes have to do is land on the net and bite you unless you prop it up with something or hide in your sweltering sleeping bag.

Customer Service

I didn't need any for this product, but MEC has been excellent for me in the past.

Very good weather protection. I've used it exposed in rainstorms with much satisfaction. Tegral-Tex is derable but not the most breathable. The No-see-um mesh is almost air tight. The very long zipper is a plus - leaving 3/4 of your body exposed. In humid weather it does not do well. I slept in it only because the bugs were so bad you couldn't breath. For colder and wetter weather, I believe this would be a really good bag. It's a little heavy do to the zippers and extra flaps and I've noticed over time it is not as wind-proof as it once was.

Great Bivy with loads of room for extras, and side zips for an easy exit and entrance into the bivy. I've had no problems with it's waterproofness so far as the other reviews state--only time will tell. The one thing I wish they did is to stiffen the eyebrow over the head area, as it has a tendency to droop.

Owned the bivy 2 years, returned it once for exchange and still didn't like it. Seam tape delaminates, ridiculous little fabric strap to attach storm flap wicks like an interior shower (even after dipping in neoprene, no-see-um mesh is so effective against bugs, you can't breathe in hot climates, but mostly, neither of the two bivys from ID that I owned were anywhere near waterproof in heavy rains.

Customer Service

When I returned my first one, I had to moan and groan to get their agreement. The second one which was no better, I sold off.

I love this sack. I recently purchased it, have only used it twice. It is very roomy for a bivy sack. The removeable hoop provides alot of room around your head and shoulders. The bag is big enough that I am able to store my boots and pack (small pack) in the sack. I am even able to change clothes in the sack, although it is a struggle. The bag has 5 tie down loops so you can secure the bag when you are not in it. It is a little heavy for a bivy sack, but that is easily overlooked when you consider how much room there is. No problems with moisture.

Customer Service

Integral Designs has very good customer service. I use many of their products and have found them to be very helpful.

I wanted lighter-weight. It is, and a good shelter, though small. Don't think it will keep you warm by itself. I hiked in, overnight lows were @30 degrees; I was cold.

This bivy is amazing. It is crazy comfortable with lots of headroom. You can store plenty of gear beside your head due to the hooped design. Sleeping under the stars while protected from the bugs with the built in bug-net is a great bonus. Weighs 2 lbs and compresses really small. I'm told that Integral's Tegral-tex is just as weatherproof as Gore-tex but more breathable.

Customer Service

I got this bivy straight from the factory as a factory second for fairly cheap. 1 MINOR cosmetic flaw that was fixed up with a little freesole.
