I have been using the old style Ursacks (yellow) for over three years now. I will never go back to bearbagging. The bags have been chewed on by lots of small creatures (like squirrels), deer, and a bear (once). These bags go with me on every trip and that amounts to a trip every other week. The bags are a little worse for wear, but they are still intact, have never been breached, and I haven't any food. An earlier interview talked about a bad experience with the bag and that Backcountrygear.com no longer stocked the bags. That's not true. They have them available for $49.00. I know because I am going to buy an additional one as soon as I finish this review. Customer Service Never had to use it. Similar Products Used: None |

Bought the bag thinking it would save weight and space over my Garcia just prior to my week long Grand Canyon adventure. Big mistake. The second night in Phantom Ranch, the rodents ate right into my bag. These were squirrels, not bears. I would have never thought they could do that. Needless to say I was a little upset, specially since I had to beg for food the last day. It's a nice bag to store food in, but if you want it to keep the critters out of your supplies, get something else. Good thing was that Backcountry.com refunded my money no questions asked. I did notice today that they quite selling the bags. That tells me something. Similar Products Used: Garcia's Cache |

Outstanding concept; since purchasing this bag I have not used my bear canister. This bay is lightweight; compressable and holds more than you would think. It is not cheap, but I would not consider it expensive based on its construction, durability and what it offers -- lightweight, worry-free protection. Similar Products Used: Garcia bear canister |
