I,ve rode freight trains on and off for over fifteen years. always useing camptrails backpacks the omega pack that i have now is seven years old, and has been throne off many moving freight trains the pack still looks new, the only damage done wasthe lost of a few pins, and the little round clips that hold the pins in place. I fixed this problam by buying stronger clips. I bought the small round key ring holders. Now I have,nt lost another pin yet. I,m getting ready to ride the rail this summer, you can bet my omega pack will see the ride through. Thanks for the best gear available.I,ve used oyher gear when I frist starterd to ride. I know camptrails is the very best... Similar Products Used: None |

This is a big pack, perhaps the grandaddy of all externals. I am 5-10 and it fits me fine, but I doubt if anyone under 5-7 could wear it. It is well made with plenty of good sized pockets. The top converts to a decent daypack. I don't always need the room, but this is a pack that could easily hold enough for a weeklong trek, if you are strong enough to lift it full.
