I bought this pack a year ago to go on a week long trip. I carried 50# on this trip. I like the way the hip belt fit. It did not slip, and I did not have to keep tightening it like my previous pack. It has plenty of pockets and a separate compartment for the sleeping bag. This pack fit me better than all of the internal frame packs that I tried and it provided better ventilation. It also cost less than the internal packs. The only drawback is its weight. I can't wait to get out and use it again. Customer Service I have had no problem with it; in fact it still looks brand new! Similar Products Used: Camp Trails McKinley: the hip belt kept coming loose and had to be cinched-up frequently. |

If you thought that the internal frame pack must be the only way to go because they are so popular, think again! The Long Bed has all of the very high quality features of the rest of the Dana Design line of products, but with the comfort that only an external frame pack can provide! Side mesh pockets are a little awkward to reach (for a water bottle, for example), but this is a small price to pay for a pack that is otherwise ideal for comfort and practical performance on multi-day trail trips. Fine tune adjustments combined with good air ventilation also make Long Bed a good choice for the serious backpacker. Customer Service Friendly, prompt and well-informed. Similar Products Used: Camp Trails "Mirage" & "McKinley has an insulated water bottle pocket that is out-of-the-way, yet very easy to reach. |

I've been using this pack for over a year now, and I can't say enough about it. Perfect pockets, plenty of room, and comfortable through hikes of 30 miles+. Other than being slightly on the heavy side, I would recommend this pack to all. Customer Service No service needed; pack is still like new! |
