Enough light for campsite activity or hiking on easy trails. Not quite bright enough for rough terrain. Light and efficient. Runs forever on three AAA batteries. I've had no trouble with the bettery cover. Highly recommended for a basic headlamp.

I have the old style Tikka and the switch went out. Bought the new Tikka Plus and like it pretty well. One problem is that the case holding the batteries keeps coming open and one or more of the batteries ends up on the ground. Those little batteries are darn hard to find in the dark. Other than this one problem the light works well. I like the different brightness function. Wish I could get the battery case to stay closed.
