This headlamp works great. The LED lights are just bright enought for doing basic camp chores. Durable construction. |

In response to the comment below I suggest bringing it back it seems faulty as I've completly submerged mine plenty of times and never had a problem. This light is great for doing small camp tasks, and all right for when you're actually on the move, but thats with the LED light module, with the incadescent bulb works just great not the brightest, but plenty to see the trail. My mail reson for purchasing was because of the Battery life, sure beats bringing 5 sets of batteries with ya:) Customer Service never dealt with |

Over all, this is a fine piece of equipment. Unfortunately, I have found two minor flaws/disadvantages. First, its not really waterproof. Yes, it was my fault for submerging it, but they shouldn''''''''''''''''t advertize it as waterproof. Secondly, because of the interchangability of the bulb unit, the thing is quite bulky. I do a lot more hiking than I do caving, but even underground I haven''''''''''''''''t ever wanted the halogen. Everything else is great: the 3 strap design, incredible durability, LOW power consumption, eternal bulb life, everything else you''''''''''''''''ve read here already. But because of those two problems, I have to give it a four out of five. Customer Service none needed Similar Products Used: Tikka (borrowed it for a hike, incredibly lightweight) |

While this headlamp is a little heavier than the tikka or the Black Diamond halogen it has two major advantages. The first is that it is waterproof. If you''re in the rain or on the river you sure don''t want your light source dying. Probably more important is that this lamp is adjustable. When you''re trying to read, cook, look for wood etc. this feature is indispensable. The halogen lights put out plenty of light for anything but trying to look far off. All in all, an excellent piece of equipment. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Lantern Flashlight Candle |

None By far the best outdoor product I have bought in a long long time. On long trips, you don''t have to constantly worry about replaceing batteries, an expensive and annoying problem. The light output is also more than adequate for night hiking, but if you prefer, it is compatable with a normal bulb (though I don''t know why you''d bother). Waterproof? You betcha. Not even a worry. I also like tha tthe light output is constant, controlled by some little internal gizmo. Don''t have to worry about the light fading as you use it (a problem w/ the Tikka). Is a little heavier than the Tikka, but is so much more durable and functional. Especially on long trips I''d deffinetly take this. Also, the lithium option is very nice, as lithium batteries are so much more forgiving in the cold, and last much longer than alcs... Hard to find, and a little pricey, but worth it. With that said, my current batteries (alcs) have been burning for going on 30 hours with no problems. Probably more as my friend is borring it for the week... Great buy.
