i liked this hrm, but it's the only one i've ever owned, so i don't have anything to compare it to. i am pleased with all of its features, and can think of only one thing it lacks that i wish it had - maximum heart rate. when figuring out your max heart rate, its frustrating and distracting to have to look at your wrist while in the midst of such an intense test. one cool thing about most polar hrm is that they are ok to use in the water. i'm a triathlete so that's important to me. some other brands may say they are water-proof, but they don't actually transmit accurately in the water. quite a difference! they merely can be in the water without breaking. I have had this 3 yrs. It has held up to lots of abuse. I think it was too expensive but I see the prices have come down some. I do not like the little red button on the top of the watch. I accidently set off the timer all the time. It is too sensitive. The transmitters do not seem to work wery well if you wear it under a jacket w/ a zipper, (wintertime). The time in zone/above/below are nice & i would definitely get. The transmitters are much too expensive-up to $50.00. Similar Products Used: None |
