Torrey 1950. Great pack, terrible bladder. I bought this as a "Hot Deal" in March of '04. The pack itself is fantastic. Well designed, and the perfect size for a day-long treck into the wilderness. Hands-down the best daypack I've ever owned. I've even carried it on an overnight snow camping trip when pulling most of my gear in a sled. I find the pack very comfortable. Unfortunately, the water bladder has leaked from the fill opening virtually every single time I've used it. I've screwed the darn thing down so tight it took two people to open, but it still leaks. I finally bought a 70 oz Camelback insert ($30) to replace it and finally have the perfect pack. It would be an easy 5 stars if it didn't leak. From looking at new Kelty hydration packs at REI, it looks like they've redesigned the bladders. Similar Products Used: Camelback that was too small to even cary lunch. Various non-hydration daypacks (mostly Jansport). |
