Great Deal!!! Picked this puppy up from EMS last Christmas for under $80.00 on sale. Needed a travel pack to use in South Africa and Italy from January thru March. And how I coudlnt' have lived without it! I stored all my gear for South Africa in the bag (plus souveniers), so while all my buddies had their (1 or 2) huge duffle bags, I had 1 strong backback that fit everything (pack lite, it pays!). Then after South Africa, I went skiing in the Italien Alps, transfered all my summer clothes to my Skiing gear (stored a duffle bag at the Milan airport for the month). Slung my ski boots over the top of the pack and off i went for another month of skiing. I love it! Oh just watch out for the airplane packers, my bag got a little tear in the front from being under the plane. Try to carry it onboard, it's just small enough, espcially if you're on a larger plane (747) they have closets onboard which you can use. I've used it for day hikes, and as long as 4 day hikes, got some nice tie-down straps from EMS and put my Moss tent, and Therma-rest pad on the outside. Customer Service Haven't had a chance to talk to EMS about getting the tear fixed. But from the years of great customer service i'm sure it'll be no problem. once i get back east! :-) Similar Products Used: Lowe-Alpine contour, Dana Designs 5000 cubic (for 3+ day hiking). |
