I love this pack - got it on a great sale. As a woman, it's difficult to find a reasonably priced backpack that fits like a glove. Most women packs are expensive. I bought this in a size small and had no problem making the proper adjustments to fit my frame perfectly. Love the top and front loading features. It packs nicely for 4-5 days trips. I make good use of the separate top lid pocket. Wonderful contour shoulder straps and nice padded hip straps. I hardly feel the weight because it rides so well on my back. I strap my hydration pack on one of the side mesh pockets (includes nice straps to hold items in place) and clip the mouth piece to the shoulder strap so I can have easy access to water. I strap my platypus containers to the other side and I'm set to go. I would wholeheartly recommend this pack to anyone, but more so to women. I didn't like the style or construction of backpacks designed for women by many manufacturers. Gregory did a fine job with this model.

In search of a 4,000 cubic inch pack that weighed 4lbs or less I settled on this pack. In order to get this 5 pounder down to 4lbs I trimmed away all the excess straps except the ax loops. In addition, I discarded the top hood compartment and the straps it fastens to. I refer to it as my ideal 3 season pack. Very comfy!

This was a great backpack. I used it on a two week trip to Europe and it performed wonderfully. I have yet to have any complaints. The ability to stuff through the top, yet still easily be able to get to the items on the bottom is key.

Great Buy!

The size of this pack makes it a very versatile pack. I used it for several over night trips and a couple of 3 week+ Europe trips. (depending on how plush you want your trip to be?) It is relatively light weight and the shoulder pads and hip belt are comfortable. I am an average size male (5'10"/ 160 lbs) and I was fitted for the large model. The front and top loading design of this pack makes it great!! it is very hard to fine that combination in a pack.

This pack comes highly recommended.

Excellent Pack. Comfortable, lighter than many, plenty of space. The one drawkback is the hood pocket doesn't hold my 2 liter platypus when it's full. Other than that it's great. I got lucky with the price. REI was having a big sale and it was in a bin of last year models that they were trying to clear out. Between the $129 price and my REI dividend, I felt like I stole it.

What a great little pack. I found this at the local REI's annual scratch-and-dent sale for $60 and bought it for my 12-year-old son (it's a small).

What's to say? It's perfect. It doesn't weigh too much, it fits even his tiny 80-pound body, it holds enough stuff for a 2-3 day trip, and it's easy to load and unload. He carries 20-25 pounds or so (a huge load for someone his size), but he says the pack is no problem.

It cleans up easily, and has useful compression straps. We even like the handy points on the back for a sleeping pad.

If I could have just found a "large" when I found this "small" we would both be happy.

I recently purchased the Reality at my local outfitter and must say its one of the best packs I've owned. The fit was like a glove. I love the simplicity of this pack and the dual entry into the main compartment is great! If you're looking for a well made and well fitting pack this is the one for you. Campmor currently has this pack on sale for $179.

Customer Service

I had a few questions about my pack and the customer service was great. They responded to my questions promptly and were very helpful!

I purchased this backpack partially because of the great reviews it has gotten from this website and from backpacker. I got 20% off on it so that was a nice little discount. I am so glad I purchased it because I love this pack. It is so comfortable. It carries 40 pounds with no problems, which is the weight I carry for 5 day hikes. It is also over two pounds lighter than my last backpack which is always a welcome relief.
