I bought my Redwing (large) for knocking about the city. It was, without any doubt, the most comfortable pack I've ever carried. (I also own Mountainsmith internal frame, Dana Design internal frame - also very comfortable, and a JanSport external frame.) It fit like a glove and the placement of shoulder straps, waist belt, and sternum straps were all optimal. I, like one other reviewer here, would prefer to have more capacity rather than less, but I never noticed the Redwing flopping about when half full. I never got to experience what would be my only gripe about this pack - durability. I've seen several redwings on the subway here in D.C., and every one had a pocket or two blown out from fabric ravelling. Mine was stolen before it showed any wear at all. I would recommend heat-sealing the internal seams of any pack with a lighter to prevent this from happening.
