This is an awesome pack (so is the price). I split my time between this pack and a Dana Designs Astralplane (from US production days). For 60 pounds or less you can't beat this 4 pound pack. My favorite pack for a 4 day Big Bend Chisos Mtn. trip, it handles the 3 gallons of water with no problem. It's one big strong light pack with no frills that rides really well. There is no other pack in it's class when it comes to weight. With this pack, a Bibler I-tent and a Marmot Kestrel sleeping bag you can go anywhere without a lot of weight. And it's indestructable

Customer Service

I bought mine from Outdoor Outlet and it was missing the top straps - I sent it to Kelty for shipping and 2 weeks later it was back and repaired. I also had great experience getting my Radial Sherpa and my son's Yukon back quickly from free minor repairs. Guaranteed for life

Similar Products Used:

I have used Osprey Packs (Xenith, still have it), Gregory packs, and have several smaller Dana Design packs (in addition to the Astralplane) as well as a Kelty Radial Sherpa to go with my White Phantom. I love the Kelty and Dana packs, not too keen on the Osprey pack. Gregory packs are OK.
