I purchased the XL version because of my long torso. Pretty much couldn't find another pack within $50 that would fit me. That fits very well after I re-contoured the stays. As delivered the stays we're so arched I couldn't get the load close enough to my back which put a lot of strain on my shoulders. Don't be afraid to re-contour the stays for best fit. Their tons of pockets which at some weight, but I like the trade off. The sleeping bag compartment is big enough for a men's long 20 deg 3D bag and includes a pocket for a water bladder. Pleny of straps for adjusting the load and daisy chains for hanging stuff. Nice low profile for tight woods.

Customer Service

LL Bean customer service is the best of any company I have dealt with.
