I love all the Mountainsmith products. I have a few backpacks from them. I have traveled the world with them and I hiked the hill in Bc Colorado and NE with their bags and nothing beats the durability.

I got a great deal on this pack. It's normally $279 and I got it for $150 on sale at REI. You can't beat the price! The pack itself is a bit too big and heavy for weekend trips, but works well on longer trips. The two main steal bars that create the stucture for the back of the pack make it impossible to shrink the pack for smaller loads. The pack comes with some great extra mini-packs that work well for shorter hikes and storing small items for easy access.
