got it on sale for around $200 at a clearance. Tested out the waterproofing w/ a hose before my first hike, no leaks at all, all of my clothes remained dry. There are limited amount of storage options, but the ability to truly count on your pack to hold up to any amount of water which is thrown its way, i believe more than makes up for the limited pockets. Excellent pack, good adjustability, good harness/belt, extremely comfortable even w/ heavy loads.
