I use these boots on cold weather hikes and hunting in the cold also!! They have never let me down. The soles could be a bit more rigid but for the light rock climbs during bear hunts, they are fine. These boots have kept together after getting beatin' up for 2 years!! I love Columbia gear and will continue to buy it!! These boots do make feet sweat a bit more than usual but the insoles are removable for cleaning and deodorizing! Have fun with your boots!!

These put blisters on my heels, and weren't all that warm without vapor barrier socks. They are waterproof, though. My feet sweat a lot, and if I wasn't using vapor barriers, the insides of these boots would be saturated at the end of the day. Breathability is questionable, but that could be said of just about any winter boot. Traction is pretty decent, and the boot looks good. These are great for short or level snowshoeing, playing in the snow with the kids, etc. but I gave up on using these for anything more serious. Winter boot temperature ratings seem to be pretty much meaningless.
