This boot is extremely comfortable, yet very sturdy. I backpack in it, and it carries the weight with no problem. However, it is light enough to comfortably day hike in, or even to drive the car to the trailhead. I like the fact that it is not Gore-Tex, because this allows the leather to breathe better and keeps it cooler. Without question, this is the best boot I have ever owned.

Though it took me a season to break these in, they are the most comfortable boots I have ever had. I have backpacked for a week with these boots and my feet held up much better than my shoulders.
