Day Hiker
These boots are absolutely fantastic! After 100 miles of hiking in them I have not gotten one blister. They required no break-in, and are very comfortable. They offer pretty good support, though not enough for truly rough terrain. Reasonably water resistant and warm enough for cold days, but not for hiking in snow. Overall I am very happy with these boots and would strongly recommend them. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: None. |

Found these on closeout at Campmor for $60 (reg. $150). Recently switched to these lightweights (2lb 8oz size 8.5) from heavier boots. Very pleased with them after lots of day-hiking and a little backpacking. I found them perfectly adequate for hiking with a 35lb pack on trails and limited off-trail use. They're kind of soft for mile after mile of rocky cross-country hiking. A pair of Superfeet insoles makes quite an improvement. Little or no break-in needed. Somewhere I read a review that referred to these as "insulated", but they're not...the original insoles look like they could be compressed thinsulate, though. I'd buy them again at the full price.
