I didn't know enough about fit when I got these, my first pair of boots. Their diminutive size resulted in black toenails. | Search Engine Optimization

Since then I added Superfeet insoles, and literally walked in streams to attain a better fit, and blister problems have gone away. www.elpasotxautoglass.com

I bought these shoes a very long time ago—so long that I can't remember when. I own the vintage Italian ones. They have traveled miles of fantastic hiking with me. | tree branch removal service near me

They are light and provide great support. After broken in, they fit like a glove you forget you are wearing them. For short trips, however, they are too heavy and took a long time to break in, visit us

Strength:

This boot is great for rough terrain, and big loads. It is not stiff enough for step in crampons or kicking steps up a snowfield. Perfect gift for reiki austin.

Weakness:

The EVA (side) portions of the soles on both boots have literally disitegrated

got a half size too big, and paid the price with blisters. After the long, and sometimes painful break-in period they worked great. I just recently climbed a couple of colorado fourteeners in them. If you are looking for a stiffer more climbing-oriented Montrail boot, go with the mazama's or moraines. foundation repair near me moreno valley

These are excellent boots. The only other boots that I like more is the Montrail Moraine ATs. People are right about the break in. They took a while. But, I am really small (110 pounds, 7-7.5 shoe size) so this may be why it took so long. My Moraines broke in on the 3rd hike. Go figure. Anyway, these fit like a glove once broken in. The Integra fit system happens to work for my foot and I love it. These were my first paif of boots and I didn't know enough about fit when I bought them. They were too small causing black toe nails. This is not the boots fault. It was my own for not doing more research. They broke in beautifully though and I have since been through a lot of boots. I have flat wide feet with a very narrow heel. These would have been perfect had I purchased the correct size. I must admit that for the price, I could not have done better. These boots are bomb proof and have such great stability. I never twist an ankle or slip with these (unlike with the Lowa Scouts). I am glad Montrail makes the Moraines because they no longer make the Vercors. Too bad because it's a great little boot.

I own a pair of Montrail Vercors boots. I bought them since they had the solid construction and vibram soles at an affordable price. They seemed OK when I wore them inside for the obligatory 1 month, but caused blisters galore after I took them out on a hike. I have been trying to break them in with limited success since then. Adding a spenco arch support helped get rid of heel blistering but my toes are still paying the price every time I take them hiking. The only consolation is that they do seem to get a little more comfortable with every hike. I have used these boots very sparingly on the order of about 5-6 hikes totalling less than 30 miles. I recently noticed that the D-rings for laces on the boots have developed rust even though I haven't exposed them to anything but normal (and (pretty limited at that) trail usage in the Pacific Northwest. I have contacted Montrail to see if they replace these boots or atleast the D-Rings/hardware on them. Still waiting to hear back.

I consider these boots the best investment I have made concerning camping/hiking gear. I have had these boots for over 2 years now, and they have seen hundreds of miles in the Idaho Backcountry. These boots seem to have been tailored to my feet, never uncomfortable, and never a blister. I am always amazed that the traction that they offer when hiking on rocks or wet surfaces. I use nix wax to water proof these boots, and have always stayed dry. I highly recommend the boots.
