I received my pair as a gift. They are the very pair my mother purchased out in Wyoming in 1969,3 years before I was born. I remember her wearing them for years on our yearly camping trips to Montana as a child. They have only been resoled once since I've had them and both of us have babied the all-leather upper. They are still in really good condition. They are heavy, but so comfortable that I forget I'm wearing them after a while. Customer Service I need to get them resoled again. I bought these boots two years ago in Arizona and used them for several all-day mountain hikes. The looks of these boots are definetely a plus, but the craftmanship is superb, and to this date not a single stitch has started to give or anything like that. I don't recall having any discomfort due to the boots in any of my hikes, and some of them were 10 hours long with 5,000 feet gain. The boots are lightweight and give excellent support. I bought two pairs from my local outdoor store and paid a bit high price, but at least got free waterproofing once a year. Customer Service I can't find an exact replacement for my original 60"" strings anywhere. Similar Products Used: None |

I bought these boots years ago at EMS. I go hiking almost every weekend in northern New England. These boots have been very durable and I still use them today. They have not pulled a stitch or broken down yet. I will buy another pair when these go to boot heaven. Similar Products Used: None |

I've had my Raichle's since '96 and they have proven to be extremely durable boots. They have performed well in a variety of conditions including a rim-to-rim hike of the Grand Canyon, a week-long hike of the AT in Georgia dn Tennessee, and a through-hike of Bryce Canyon (water and all). The only problem has been a slight delamination (1.5"") of the sole near the toe which occured just after I broke them in. However, this has not worsened, even with all that water. Great product and a good fit for my somewhat narrow feet. Similar Products Used: None |

exellent boot. after about 225 miles of break in I used them on 480 miles of the colorado trail in a lot of wet conditions last year. with a heavy pack on they were very stable on the trail. the soles seem to have worn more than I expected but maybe I was dragging my feet more than expected Similar Products Used: merrill, vasque,EMS,bass, dunham |

I really like these boots altough a bid heavy. Very comfortable specially if you'll be doing backpacking carying heavy weight, they have a great support. The Gortex is very helpful, just make sure you don't get them we from inside, will take for ever to dry. Similar Products Used: None |

I bought my second pair of these boots in 97 and have put hundreds of miles on them, with and without backpack. I have never had a problem with them and have never had a foot or ankle injury while wearing them. I will be buying my third pair soon as these have seen better days. Similar Products Used: None |

A good stable, solid boot, fairly quick break-in time. You can walk through fairly deep water (for those of us who can't walk on it) and not worry about getting wet. Six months and no complaints... Similar Products Used: None |

I love these boots!!!!! Never had a blister and I owned them for 3 years, they have been resoled once, and had 2 sets of laces. They have seen: the 18miles of Big Bends South Rim (twice), the tops of 4 of Colorado's 14er's, and hundreds of miles trails across the Country. I've never owned a better boot. Similar Products Used: Various light weight Nike boots, they work great until you step on to dirt, in other words, they SUCK!!!!! |
