I've had a pair of Zamberlan Fell Lites for a few years now - they didn't take long to break in and suit my broad English Feet as they have quite a wide toe box (unlike some Italian Boots). Zamberlan were the first boot maker to work with Vibram in developing the Vibram sole for walking and climbing boots and the Fell Lites have the latest lightweight sole that has added cushioning in the heel - they grip really well, they stay waterproof as long as you regularly re-proof with Hydrobloc cream and mine still look good and have hardly worn after repeated use - and they weigh hardly anything - I've used them on Mountains in the UK and in Switzerland in the winter and though they are not really a mountain boot - more of a 3 season boot - they cope well in the snow too. I PURCHASED THESE BOOTS AT REI ABOUT 9 MONTHS AGO, AND HAVE WORN THEM ON AT LEAST TEN OUTINGS SINCE, NOT TO MENTION THAT I WEAR THEM EVERY DAY. THEY TOOK ONE DAY TO BREAK IN, AND THE BLISTER THEY CAUSED WAS QUITE LARGE, BUT APART FROM THE EXPECTED, THEY HAVE BEEN EXCELLENT BOOTS. THEY STILL APPEAR AS THEY DID RIGHT AFTER PURCHASE, AND THE SOLES HAVE HELD UP REALLY WELL. THEY OFFER GREAT ANKLE SUPPORT, AND ARE WATERPROOF TO A GREAT EXTENT. I WOULD DEFINITELY BUY ANOTHER PAIR.
