I think this bag and a few others that you offer fit most of my needs and surpass what I really expected. I give it a thumbs up. Similar Products Used: I have never tried any of thier products before |

Very roomy and not too expansive. I like it a lot and bought two of them. Similar Products Used: None |

I work in a stundent run rental shop and this is the bag we rent. I recently purchased one myself. These bags are very durable, quite roomy, and fairly inexpensive. Our only failures have been customer abuse. Only complaint is as usual, the temperature rating seems 10 degrees optimistic. Similar Products Used: Slumberjack and Kelty sleeping bags. I bought this as a lighter weight warm weather alternative to my well-worn 20 year old 0 degree bag, which has worked for me at its rated 0 degrees. The Caribou is an adequate bag but nothing great. I'd call it a one season bag -summer only. I have used it at temperatures approaching its rating and did not find it to live up to its promise. In other words, 20 degrees is accurate only if that's the outside temperature and you're in a closed up tent with another person. Mine also came apart at several seams when only a little over a year old. But see the comments regarding customer service below. Customer Service Caribou offers a liftime guarantee which they honored when mine fell apart. They repaired it but their fixed charge is $15 for return shipping (even though it only cost me $5 to ship to them). Actually it took them over a month to repair it and they also charged me an additional $20 to have it shipped second day so I would have it for a trip. So they are cooperative but slow and I spent $40 for a ""warranty"" repair on an item that I bought for about $100 in the first place. Similar Products Used: None |
