This bag is extremely warm and light, and packs down very small, typical of a down bag, and it is very well made, with quality showing up in the details like ground level side seams and a baffle collar. The zipper never jams, the draw cords for the hood and baffle are easy to use, and there is still plenty of room around the chest and neck so I never feel claustrophobic in spite of the mummy shape. Best of all is that, even though this bag is rated at 15 degrees, I'll bet I'd be comfortable down to O, and I'm a cold sleeper. This bag is pricey at $279 (I found it on sale at EMS online for $195), but it's well worth the money. so shop around until you find it on sale. I purchased this bag with the Dryloft fabric in 1996 and it has 725 fill in it. I believe the new bags have close to 800 fill in them, nevertheless, I have hardly used it due to me roasting in it. It is not the 3 season bag I intended to buy, but its a great winter bag. When needed, it serves me well in the cold. I'm glad mine is a earlier D.L. bag, because the new D.L. bags appear to have a loud crinkly wax applied to the fabric which renders them less breathable and more prone to condensation build up. This is a very good bag. The 775 fill power down enables it to be very light considering the amount of room. Its not nearly as constricting as many mummies. The temp rating is conservative as I have yet to sleep in it fully zipped up let alone cinched down (haven't had it out below ~25 yet). The zipper does tend to snag a bit but not too bad - I haven't been trapped, just have to be careful. I wish I had gotten the Dryloft as the gossamer is only moderately water repellent but I couldn't pass up the deal I got on this bag. Similar Products Used: Western Mountaineering - Puma |

The best light weight very warm sleeping bag the world makes. Watch out for snagging zippers but that happens with bags. If you have any questions please email me. Similar Products Used: i have also used the hardshell tent.the north face solar flare sleeping bag and other great gear. |

A wonderfully made 775 down bag. I have yet to be cold in it even at temps just below its rating (20F). I usually have to sleep with it a bit open. The Gossamer Teflon shell has worked well for me in allowing the bag to dry easily while still keeping out most of the tent condensation. What really sold me on it though was that it is one of the few mummy bags that will comfortably fit a big guy like me (6'2" + big shoulders). Zipper has a tendancy to snag though (this might not be a prob with the stiffer Dryloft shell version). Similar Products Used: Caribou Big Chill, Marmot Western Cwm |

Bomber bag. First night out at 13000 ft the s**t hit the fan and temp dropped to 0 with blizzard winds. Pinnacle kept me plenty warm with good wiggle room. I get mucho claustrophobic in most mummies but this one is perfect balance! Similar Products Used: None |

Great bag. Who says down is passe? It is light, warm, and has that huge comfortable range that only down has (go ahead, say you can do that, you synthetics). Similar Products Used: None |

Great bag! I've never been cold once in four years of use. Zipper almost never jams, loft has stayed high, very light, nice hood. Crank the drawstring down around your mouth and nose and laugh at the weather! Next to my wife, one of my favorite things. Similar Products Used: None |

I've had nothing but good things to say about this bad ever since I bought it. I've found it to have a much wider temp range than it is billed as having. It zips up nicely without causing claustrophobia, and then stuffs down to a very small size for packing. Down filling is definitely still the way to go. Customer Service I have also had good experience with Marmot's customer service for several of their products, but I've never had to deal with them about this bag, because it's been so good. I got two of these to upgrade the old run of the mill sleeping bags and was very impressed with the results. This is a lot lighter and can be compressed to about a third the size of the old sleeping bags. The ability to keep warm comes from design plus hi-tec materials plus a shape that feels custom made to the body. really worth the money Similar Products Used: None |
