the following is a review for a Moonstone Optima 10-degree bag with polarguard delta insulation. (its individual category does not exist). I had a very negative experience with this bag. Everything is fine with its construction--but it is NOT a 10-degree bag. My wife was dangerously cold in this bag at just 30-degrees (inside a tent) when the bag was brand new. We purchased this bag because of Moonstone's reputation, and because the bag was lightweight. Thus my wife and I spent many sleepless nights shivering and trying to stay warm. This sleeping bag almost cost us our A.T. thru-hike and is one of the biggest wastes of money I have ever owned. I am still in disbelief about how blatantly Moonstone lies about the capabilities of this bag just so it will sell. Doing so is irresponsible and dangerous, and Moonstone has demonstrated that its products are over-hyped and cannot be relied upon to perform as advertized.

Customer Service

I have found Moonstone's customer service to be nonexistant. I have tried to contact them twice and have been ignored both times. Moonstone refuses to stand behind their products

This bag looks very well manufactured. However, my feet and legs started getting cold through the wall of the bag at 50 F, far above the -5 F to 10 F rating. And the zipper draft tube leaked cold air. The anti-snag ribbon itself snagged often in the zipper. I returned it to the vendor.Clas
