Pros: Have used it in dry cold in NZ and here in Australia in wet cold. Goes well in both conditions. Have also never been cold in this bag (have only been in it down to around -7 deg Celsius). Dries quickly and is pretty bombproof. Good all around bag. Cons: Bulky and Heavy, and what''s the deal with the humungous stuff sac? Advice: If you''re looking for a bag that will get beat up and wet etc etc, then this is a great bag Customer Service no need Similar Products Used: Vango, Fairydown |

Great bag. Ive been in some very cold conditions, and I have never been uncomfortably at all. It dries so fast. The only problem is its so big. I have trouble fitting it in the bottom of my pack, so that limits space. When I go on big trips i need that space, so it doesnt work out too well. But other than that, it is a great buy. Well worth your money. Similar Products Used: TNF Cat's Meow |

Have used a lot of bags in my life and this is my absolute favorite... The HV is much better then down in moist environments. January in Tetons and Big Horns at -10. Mt. Washington NH Feb 2001 at -15 and still was more then satisfied (excluding windchill) and was snugg as a bug... I own 4 of these bags for use by clients and will definately continue using them..... I own a lot of Mountain hardware and after 25 years of experimenting I feel that Mountain hardware products cannot be surpassed in quality and in service.. Similar Products Used: None |

this sleeping bag is kind of heavy, seeing that is is only polarguard HV instead of 3D. But I have been on many trips where I was warm enough and never complained. I have climbed Mt. Baker with this bag and was fine. I have hiked the West Coast Trail with this bag, and was kosher. If I were ever to buy another bag it would only be to save weight or spact Similar Products Used: Mountain Hard Wear Nickel Cigar (fuzzy lining too hot) |

I sleep COLD and tried TNF Blue Kazoo, and Cats Meow. Froze my tootsies off in New Mexico. Bought the Alpine based on a friend's suggestion...wow! Similar Products Used: TNF BLue Kazoo and Cats Meow. Neither warm enough for me. My son likes the Blue Kazoo (so, guess who got that bag?) and thought the Cats Meow was too thin (can see right thru it). |

This bag impresses with good ability to keep users dry and warm even in quite damp weather, something often occurring where I live (the few times I camp/hike). It's also got great quality, nothing has even shown the least tendency yet to fall apart. But I don't expect bad quality either from this great company! Pricey though... maybe not compared to other similar bags, I think all this kind of stuff is over-priced so it's a 4 on value. Similar Products Used: None |

I think that this bag is an excellent buy for the price. It's hard to find another bag in the same temperature range for that kind of price. I also like the neck compartment to stop air from coming out of the body section of the bag. This bag gets two thumbs up from me. Similar Products Used: None |
