I have had this bag for several months now and enjoy it. It is well built and more importantly, very warm. I have used it down to -10*F and it was beginning to show it's limitations. For 0*F weather, however it excels. The biggest drawback is the weight (over four pounds) and the size (it fills roughly 1500-2000 ci of your pack). I like the 3D for it's warmth and it's insulation when wet. For the price I paid the bag is a very good deal. Because of the Bulk and the Weight I would rate the value (Considering the price better than the overall score) Customer Service No Experience, but I wouldn't anticipate any problems with Sierra Designs. I got this sleeping bag, it is called the wyatt earp man. I wanted to see how good it was so I slept in it on night on the couch. I didn't even get cold! That just shows how good of a product this really is. I would definitley reccomend it. It has the sweetest color too, well i guess pink would be better, but it still rocks.I want to buy seven more. Sometimes I hike 5 minutes, and rest for an hour, This bag is comfartble to sit on. Customer Service I didn't call them, but what makes me mad is they never called me back! super bag...got mine on sale for $124 from ems, october 2000, (though the bag was actually manufactured in february 1999)...unbelievably comfortable and durable...w/a compression sack you can get the packable size down way past 11x21 which is stated as the stuffed size by the manufacturer sierra designs....bag works perfectly down to about -10 IMO (even w/ some wind chill) Similar Products Used: downtime down bag, holofil bags |

The Wyatt Earp has got to be the best bag at it's price point. In fact, I would put it up aginst bags costing much more. It has ample room even for someone 6'4". I have had it only a few months but it has served me well at temps down to nearly -10. The major problem with the bag is that it could use a better zip-guard. It seems that unless I am very careful in my zipping action, I will tend to snag the zipper. I think that is one area the North Face bags beat-out the SD bags. The other thing I dislike about the bag is that it doesn't pack down very small, but I think it is on par with other Polarguard 3D bags. All-in-all, I am very pleased with the bag...I only wish I could use it this spring and summer. You can bet I will look into other bags by Sierra Designs for spring/summer use. This bag is awesome! I use it for most winter camping in Utah and Idaho where temp will be around 0 degrees, give or take 10 to 15. Anymore that 30 above and you'll be just sleeping on top hoping for a breeze to come by and cool you off! I use a compressing stuff sack to get the most room in my pack. If you use the stuff sack they give you, you soon realize it can be compressed a lot smaller with a little effort. Not only has this bag has been able to perform when it has been cold, but also wet. After a week of cold and rain, my North Face Superlight would be about an inch of the ground and 15 pounds of water where 3D just breaths great and dries fast. Keeps you warm even if soaked!!! Recommended best buy for all around performance. Much more dependable and able to resist the elements than down!! Customer Service This bag came in the mail per my request from Sierra Designs. I had the old Northern light with Lite Loft. It lost all loft. One phone call to Sierra Designs and a few days after I had returned mine, it was replaced with a brand new Wyatt Earp. These guys stand behind there gear like anyone else! Similar Products Used: North Face Superlight |

Got my bag when I lived in Iowa and it was great for those late fall or early spring outings--toasty. Also have a Tiros convertible--excellent. Would definitely recommend. Similar Products Used: None |

I bought this bag at an REI sale for eighty bucks, and man, it was a total steal. I have slept in it down to about 10 below, and the bag's rating of 0 degrees is about right- I was perfectly comfy at -10F in this bag with thermals on, outside, no tent. The hood is roomy, and there is enough room to twist and turn in your sleep, as I tend to do. The collar is functional, but seems to be a bit hard to get at the drawstring. |
