Excellent sleeping bag - little warm if sleeping indoors, but opening the feet end solves this. Used winter and summer in small hike tent in UK and was warm and comfortable. Small and light enough for backpacking. Really pleased with this bag

I bought my Blue Kazoo 25 years ago and it's still in great shape! The key is to wash it from time to time using the proper method (forget the bathtub, have it done professionally if you can find someone or use the front loading industrial washers/dryers). I'm itching for a new summer bag, but I just can't justify it because my BK is still in great shape!

I have the endurance version of this bag, which means that the shell is made of Pertex Endurance fabric for extra water resistance otherwise it is identical to the standard Blue Kazoo. In two years of use it has worked fine although I have yet to push it to is low temperature limit. I'm hopeful that it will remain warm because I'm a cold sleeper. I haven't seen any errant feathers or loose threads and have had few problems with zipper snag. The water repellant enurance fabric seems to work well--at least it has shed heavy condensation well, particularly where the bag made contact with the inner wall of the tent. I'm fairly gentle with my stuff so I can imagine this bag holding up for a long time.

I had a Gerry down bag for 20 years and it served me well, but eventually lost much of the down/loft and became too cold.

Have 2002 model. The cross baffles are somewhat unconventional but seem to work. The 20 deg rating is a bit optomistic if compared to other high end down manufactures. Overall, if not considered "high end" like TNF is heading, is a good deal on sale.

I'e used this bag in all four seasons in the southern sierras. As a member of search & rescue, I've walked all day, half the night, plopped down in this bag in a bivy, and awoke warm & ready to go! Add booties, silk liner & bivy, and you can easily exceed the temp rating.

I love this bag. It is the best bag that I have ever owned. It is very long (I am 6ft 3in), comfortable, packs nice, warm, looks cool, nice features, and well designed. I would not recomend sleeping in this bag if the temp is over 50 degrees, you will sweat. I store it hanging up in my basement.

This is a great sleeping bag. I took it on several canoe trips without any problems. I slept in a puddle of water (because of a leaky tent) and the bag didn''t even get wet inside. I used it during the summer and it never really got too warm either. Packs up fairly small too so it can go inside your backpack.

I have owned serveral down bags
and this one ranks right up there
with Coleman! After one month
use on the Appalachian trail,
it fell apart. Not only did
it ruin my trip, which left me cold,
but when it did work it could not live up to its ratings. Next time I won't

I have had this bag for about 3 years and have used it year round (adding a liber in the winter) and it has served me well. Plenty warm and nice how you are able to shift the down within the baffles for comfort regulation.

I bought the endurance series of the Blue Kazoo about 3 weeks ago now and have gone on three 4 day trips up into the rockies now where it has gotten down to -18C every night and the bag has kept me warm, mind you we were in tents and not bivies. I have also found that with the endurance lining i don't notice condensation building up in the bag, this was a problem for me before when I used the original blue kazoo. Overall it's a good bag, I wouldn't take it with me if I was going into the up peaks though, I don't think that the bag could handle some of the -30C.
