EXCELLENT BAG. I've had mine for four to six years. It feels delicious on a cold night. I've put a lot of use on it and only have one complaint: the zipper gets snagged very easily.

I originally owned synthetic bags, but when I bought the Blue Kazoo, I switched forever. The compressability and comfort are fantastic. The bag is accurate for the temp. rating, but I am cold natured.
If you can afford down, get it. The weight and compressability are a wonderful advantage. Carrying a small bivy cover for damp conditions isn't bad, since this bag weighs so little.

I have had my bag for about two years. I picked it up on sale at REI. This bag rocks!!! It packs up small and weighs next to nothing. For Arizona conditions it is the perfect bag.

I've had mine for about 8 years now with no major complaints. No frills here, just a basic bag that does the job (so it's very lightwieght). I'm 5'11'' and the regular is just BARELY big enough. Anyone taller should buy the long version. Plus, I agree with the other reviewers: the 20 degree rating is a bit too generous -- I'd give it 25 to 30 degrees. However, I've even used it on a few winter trips -- in a tent with another person, with a GoreTex bivy sack outer, with long-underwear and a pile jacket on -- it's a great way to save weight. The zipper does snag the fabric sometimes, but it's not a big deal. A side note: Goose down is the ONLY way to go if you can afford it!

This was the first "real" sleeping bag I ever owned and it was a good one. It held up well to years of abuse. It dosen't pack as small as other bags, but for the price you can't expect much more. I did have some trouble with the zipper after two years or so. Other than that this bag is solid and holds true to it's temp. rating.

Slept in it down to the rated temp of 20 (in a moderate wind) with no probs at all. I Later slept in it down to 8, but I was inside a little tent. I bought it because it packs smaller than any I've seen. The things that annoy me about it are (1) the zipper gets caught easily and (2) it doesn't have a storm collar for your neck. I guess it's fine for the money, though.

This is a great bag for the general not super serious camper like me. It's lightweight and the 20-degree bag is definitley warm enough. the cost is also good, about $150 at the North Face Outlet.

The Blue Kazoo is a good 3 season bag that I have even used for moderate winter camping. I think its 15 degree rating is pretty accurate. The shell breathes very well but I have also noticed that every so often a feather will poke through the lining. It's not the lightest bag either, but mine has been very durable. I know people who have had their TNF bags for 20 years and they are still using them (although any down bag will lose some of its loft over that length of time). TNF must be doing somthing right.

What makes the blue kazoo a nice bag to own is its weight ( under 3lbs. ) and how small it packs down. I bought the 15 degree bag and have used it in a varietyof conditions and have found it to be very accomodating in various tempetures. The bag is down so I suggest packing it in a waterproof bag if conditions are wet. If your in the market for a good 3-season bag that is very compressable and under $200 this bag is for you.
