This is a great bag for Fall, Spring and Summer use. I would hope that you could stuff this and some provisions into a small daypack for really light backpacking. I try too use it for this. I even use it in the winter. I've ripped it a couple times and took it down to the outlet for a prompt fix. Customer Service Great. Similar Products Used: Marmot |

I own the super kazoo, which is a slightly warmer version of the blue kazoo. Overall this is a very good bag. I have found the temp. rating to be accurate. Very compressible. I have owned and used this bag for about 4 years. Minimal loss of down and loft. Recently I switched to synthetics. I no longer use this bag except for car camping. Customer Service no experience, this is the only tnf product I own. Similar Products Used: Kelty, Integral Designs (best bags on the market- synthetic and down) |

I just have to say to all those who diss on this bag: It isn't the bag's fault. This is one of the most enduring mountain products ever to be invented. The thing's been around for nearly two decades! There is a reason for this. This bag is very durable and lives up to its 20 degree rating. If you take it winter camping, you are either very stupid or just trying to find a reason not to like the bag. Products from The North Face nearly always live up to their expectations, and therefore justify their sometimes higher price. Excellent product. Just think if they made a Blue Kazoo DryLoft!!!! Customer Service As far as their customer service goes, this is probably the best part. To give you an idea of how they treat their customers and honor their warranty, let me tell you a story. In 1991 I bought a yellow Mountain Jacket. The thing went on every trip I took. It had seen some abuse but was holding up wonderfully. In April 1999 I was climbing the Exum ridge on the Grand and was unfortunate enough to take a fall off the moderate 5.8 ground. (The hold broke off) It was not a pretty, controlled fall, but a wobbly tumble. While sliding, I ripped a GIANT hole in the back of my Mountain Jacket. I was so depressed! Remembering their warranty, I sent the jacket in to get fixed. I was expecting them to return it, saying they couldn't fix it. About 3 weeks later, I got a box from them. Sure enough, they couldn't fix it, but THEY REPLACED IT!!!!! FREE!!!!! An 8 year old jacket!!!! I couldn't believe it. True story. Similar Products Used: Lots of bags. Nothing measures up. |

I love this bag for it's weight and compact size. I have used it in near freezing temperatures and stayed warm with minimal clothing on. But like any down bag, Don't get it wet. Similar Products Used: Slumberjack Aurora |

I have had this bag for about 4 years. This is the best bag I have ever owned. I have taken this bag to about 0 degrees F. I am in the Boy Scouts, and I am always the person who wakes up with a good night sleep, because I was 100% comfortable. I stay comfortable even when I wake up with frost all over my TNF bag. Customer Service THF needs to work at so they zipper don't catch on the bag. Similar Products Used: Mountain hardwear |

The TNF Blue Kazoo down sleeping bag is a good 3-season bag, but only down to a bit above freezing. We've tried it with/without clothing (buy a left and right zip with your significant other - works great), but remained cold, even with shaking the fill to the top. The bag is, however, very comfortable - just enough wiggle room. We also, have been losing some down slowly over the years. Similar Products Used: None |

The Blue Kazoo is a very versatile backpacking bag. It strikes a good balance between warmth and weight and compressibility. If you can find it on sale for $130 (I've seen it that low twice, once at altrec.com and the other time at dsports.com), you've got yourself an amazing deal. One minor complaint, though: it's a pain to stuff a wristwatch into the zippered watch pouch. Similar Products Used: None |
