It's warm, it's light, and I can pack it into a small space even though its a sythetic fiber. And most importantly, it affordable. $150-200, depending on sale.

Let me start off by saying that I don't have the 3D, just the original Snowshoe. It's a good bag for the money. I've gotten it wet and it's still warm (that's one good thing about sythetic fills). The bad thing is that it's heavy and big when stuffed. Another problem is that the draft flap is on the bottom half of the bag and, when I toss around, I tend to lay on the flap and expose the zipper. I give it four stars

I found the snowshoe 3D was excellent to get a good sleep in. Very light, warm, and durable.

Great bag, found it to be warm and comfortable, even in wet cold weather. Fairly light weight and compresses good.

Just purchased the 98 version (black and purple, +5 degree version) in a long size. I've used the bag twice, first for a backpacking trip to Red Pine Lake. The bag packs well and is fairly light. Only problem on this trip was that the temperature only got down to about 40 after a rainstorm, so I had too much bag and had to sleep with it unzipped! Second trip was car camping in the Uinta mountains at 10,200 feet. It snowed and dropped to about 20 overnight. The bag was very warm and has a comfortable liner. It has plenty of shoulder and hip room, but I do wish there was a little more foot room. Overall, a great bag, especially if you can get it on sale. The list price is a little high, but you are paying for the North Face name and quality.
