Recently spent 3 days on a solo hike in the Ouchita Nat'l Forest with nightly temps in the low 30's (F) and was quite comfortable sleeping in the Antelope Super DL. The Dryloft shell shed the nightly condensation inside my Hennessy Hammock. I believe this bag is very conservatively rated to 5F as a few times during the night it was a bit too toasty. I'm sure with a liner you could easily get below 0F with no problem. Construction and workmanship is absolutely 1st rate and equal to or better than other high end bags. It's good looking too. Packs nice and relatively small in your backpack although it is a little heavier than stated on WM's website... nothing to cry about. Based on my experience I would most definitley recommend a WM product to anyone interested in a high quality, dependable bag that performs to or better than specified.

For me personally, I have found that I cannot take a 20 degree bag below about 40 comfortably, so I figured this 5 degree bag would be good for me to about 20. We got temps in Joshua Tree on this bag''s first outing in the low 20''s and I was EXTREMELY HAPPY & cozy in this bag. I''m positive that it''s conservatively rated as compared to other mfg''s bags. This bag is DREAM bag. It is impeccably made, to every last stitch. It''s got 7 inches of loft all around, a fat zipper draft tube and also a stiffener that completely prevents snags. It has a way full down collar which goes all the way around and you can cinch as tight needed. The hood, even when cinched down to a blow hole lofts all around your head instead of compressing the down. The design is brilliant! I found that with the collar snugged up I was toasty even with the hood loose. I was snug and comfy as never before have I ever been in a sleeping bag. It was a real pleasure to sleep in this bag. It also has continuous baffles, but I never felt the need to shift all the down to the top even when it was so cold. I''m thinking I may be able to use this bag at even lower temps by shifting the down even though I have got to be the coldest sleeper on the planet. I love this bag so much that it''s been on my bed every night since I got back from my trip.. I''ve been using it as a quilt and it''s just heavenly. This is one piece of gear that will be pampered and cared for and used for the rest of my days. I highly recommend that anyone who is looking for a first class bag consider WM, save your pennies, and watch for sales. Note however that you should go to the next size up if you are within about 2 inches of the max length on WM bags. I think their sizes are incorrect. I am exactly 5''5.75" and the 5''6" bag would have been too short. The 6'' bag doesn''t seem to be all that much too long for me... YMMV. It''s very light and probably ultra compressible I''m sure, but I have not (and probably will not) compress it any smaller than the mfg''s provided stuff sack. Note that the Dry Loft version is easier to stuff if you turn it inside out first. Oh and the hood and collar are covered in dry loft to keep your drool and breath vapor out of the down. It''s perfect!

Customer Service

Haven''t had to use WM customer service yet, but I hear it''s top notch. The price I got was a sale from $485 and Mountain Sports Boulder has great customer service!

I have used this bag repeatedly in Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park during the winter with nights down to -5 and -10F. In fact I had to leave the top part of the bag unzipped because I was too warm. And just to test how cold I could go I slept outside on a cloudless Minnesota night down to -25F with out a liner and only wearing a mid weight base layer. Slept like a baby.

Bent Gate out of Golden Colorado help me pick this bag out of the dozens I could have purchased. Spent well over 30 minutes on the phone with me to make sure I bought the right bag for what I was doing. Great Job!
