I am 6'5" and come in at 225 lbs. and I have slept comfortably on my guidelite for to many nights to count. I bought the long version and I love it. It has helped keep me warm down to -10 when my friends were shivering on z-rest. To be completly fair my sleeping bag was rated 5 degrees lower then thiers. I've only had one pin hole and it was when I was desert camping. It was easy to patch when I got home. (lesson learned; take a patch kit or sleep in the dirt.) The only advantage I see noninflatable pads having (z-rest) is I am jealous every time we take a short break and they throw thier z-rest on a rock or the snow to grab a bite or to pump water. It isn't worth it to me to pull out my guidelite, inflate it, sit, deflate it, roll it up and stash it for a short stop. Over all that is a minor gripe for how well I sleep at night. Customer Service none needed Similar Products Used: original thermarest 3/4 length, old egg crate, old foam roll. |

None I got this in a freak sale for next to nothing. My wife payed the same amount for an explorer model. I''ve used this pad many times and love it. It is the perfect balance between lightweight and insulating. I slept in the back of my truck one freezing (literaly) night and the pad completely dissapated the ridges in the bed of the truck. How''s hat for doing a good job. Similar Products Used: None |

None 3/4 Length and light weight was my goal and this product delivers both plus at 25" wide and 1.something thick it supports my 220 lbs and I sleep great anywhere. Weakness:
None This pad is awesome. Good value when on sale. **Long pad keeps feet insulated.**1/4 inch thicker than ultra-lite means more comfort & insulation, without increase in packed size.**Fast inflation even in colder temps (needs manual inflation at or bellow freezing). No pillow pocket, but no big deal. Great for backpacking, even for the minimalists since you can''t hike on a bummed back. Customer Service No need to check Similar Products Used: A relic Therm-a-Rest. The tech improvments are amazing Foam pads. Don''t pack as small, not as comfy |

This pad is very lighweight and good for taking with you while out on the trail. Best price is to find one online with a cosmetic blem because this will not effect the performance of it and you will get a good deal. I like mine to take out and lay out on the rocks or ground while resting or waiting to climb. I slept on mine for 5 night on a trip to Colorado, and my only complaint is that my hips would be a little sore in the morning from sleeping on my side all night. Overall a good pad for hikers. I own the 3/4 length and it's perfect. Just long enough to cover everything but my feet. It's lightweight and fits inside of my pack well. I have had no troubles with it in the 4 years I've used it. Similar Products Used: None |

My first ThermaRest pad was the 3/4 length 1" purchased 30 years ago in Colorado. It served me well while backpacking throughout the state in all seasons and many years in Alaska also. During winter trips I would take a 1/4" foam pad to place under my lower legs and feet for extra insulation. The pad has NEVER failed me. Customer Service Quick and efficient service. Similar Products Used: Foam pads with nylon covers, insolight pads, we tried just about everything available but prefer our 3 ThermoRests. |
