Therm-A-Rest pads are definitely more comfortable than the regular-old ridge-rest. They don't insulate you from the ground as well, but the padding is much better. They inflate and deflate easily. They do weigh more that ohters but, they are worth the extra weight in my humble opinion. You must also get the chair kit with it!!!! This is the best invention ever! After a long day on your feet, there is nothing better than taking a load off in your Therm-A-Rest chair. Customer Service No experience Similar Products Used: Ridge-Rest |

I found this pad to be really comfortable. This is my first sleeping pad, and needless to say, I am never going back to sleeping on the hard, cold ground again. Deflated, its light, and rolls up relatively small. It inflates really easy and quickly. Its a little thicker than other pads my friends have used, but its not too big that its a problem to roll up and strap to your pack. Only bummer is I thought it came with a stuff sack, which it did not, so now I have to make a trek back over to REI where I bought it. It could have at least came with a bungee or a rope. Can't go without my Thermarest. Started with 3/4, quickly went to Lite, but now that I have a standard, wow, I sleep so well. Similar Products Used: None |
