Very comfortable worth the weight. We were using an inflatable mattress, but never managed to get a goodnight of sleep. With this pad, I slept all night long and woke up feeling refreshed and not even a little sore. Our friend who does much more serious hiking trips also uses the same pad, he said he doesn't care how much it weighs, the good nights sleep is worth it.
