I bought 2 of these about 7-8 years ago, and have had no complaints. I've run them both on unleaded gas from the tank of my car or motorcycle. I always use the small red funnel/filter for the gas. In all these years, they have run exceptionally well, and I have only had to replace the generator once in each stove for about $9.00 US They have been used at both the desert level and as high as 11,000 ft. It takes a little longer to heat water at altitude, but it does work well. Customer Service I have had to take them back to a local coleman service facility once in the 7-8 years that I have owned them, and the work was done well and was reasonably priced. The coleman sporster 2 dualfuel stove is a good buy. It cooks a can of soup in 1-2 minutes. I use the coleman fuel because it doesn't smell bad like gas. Very cheap to run better than propane and most other liquid fuel stoves. I strongly recommend this item. |

We bought this stove thinking it would come in handy to make some tea or coffee on the odd day trip to the coast more for a laugh (the fact it took unleaded fuel). Jeeps.. well, it'll boil a kettle in about 2 minutes! Customer Service Spare parts (a 'regulator' worked out a 25% of the cost of replacing the entire thing with a brand spanking new one. When the pump got sand in it (we camp on remote islands in Greece) we have decided to stick with the Trangia... Similar Products Used: Trangia |
