perfect product. I used it now 14 years and it never failed

This thing is not worth any money! The second time i used it the ignitor got hot and fell apart!! I never even took it in the field, thank god!!! Now when you light it manualy it acts like the wind is blowing, and when you place a pot on top of it it goes out!!! I live at 7000 ft and need something of quality!! I'll be going with giga power stove!!!

was looking for a small powerfull stove and that's what i found. since i mainly boil water it works excellent for my purposes. i can have my gear out soup hot and eating before most people i camp with even have water boiling or there liquid fuel stove lit. the ignitor works great everytime on the first try. the trick is to have you pot on it turn the gas on a bi t and click, that's it.

Lightweight, easy to use. No problems with the piezo starter. Only concern is there is little dispersion of the heat with the small, quarter size burner, creating a real hotspot if you're doing more than heating water. This is easy to address with a lower setting.

In follow up to the previous review, I found the Hot Shot to work well. However, there's a trick to lighting (which still takes a few clicks of the piezo): turn the gas on slowly and keep it low while lighting.

Very light and very compact. It cooks okay and it takes practice to balance it on the ground. The only real problem I have found is that the self-lighter sometimes takes three to five tries to work. Its a great stove for the money.
