The stove has proven to be very reliable from the from the first time I used it. I have been pleased with the ease with which the flame can be adjusted and how quick and simple it is to start. For my basic needs, it has not let me down. Similar Products Used: None |

Let me tell you what, I've had all kinds of outdoor gear and this little storm-trooper may just be one of the toughest stoves I've come across. I've beat the hell out of this thing over the past couple of years and with proper maintenance, it'll light up just fine on the first try, every time. It may be a little on the heavy and bulky side for people into the really expensive hi-tech stuff, but for $40, you cann't go wrong. My only advise is to use white gas whenever possible, it's nice to be able to use unleaded in an emergency, but think of it as exactly that - emergency fuel - otherwise you'll be rebuilding it much more often. I've had this stove for approx. 3 years and have had no problems at all. Some drawbacks include the weight of the stove and the fact that it is a bit slow to get going in cold weather. |

I seem to be a rare breed...I prefere this stove over the MSR Whisperlite. I find it much easier to operate, and love the simmer control. My girlfriend has a Whisperlite, yet when we are backpacking we use my stove 99% of the time. I have owned this little gem for a couple of years now and have never once had a problem. It runs great in the summer as well as the winter...the optional windscreen helps a lot. Look no further folks, this is a fantastic little burner...you can't go wrong if your looking for a do-it-all stove. If you are interested in welding however, go for the Whisperlite. This stove is compact; burns different types of fuel, generates a lot of heat and best of all, simmers. It is finicky and requires priming paste in temps much below -20C and also uses up a ton of fuel at that temp - then again, what doesn't. The rubber gasket at the pressure priming pump must be oiled at low temps or it will leak. I haven't tried it at any altitude above 4,000 m so can't comment Similar Products Used: MSR Whisperlite; Whisperlite International |

I love mine. Don't use all that often, but when I do, it never gives me any trouble. Boils, simmers, and cooks great. Could be a bit lighter, but nothing I couldn't handle Customer Service Durable and dependable Similar Products Used: none- this one hasn't let me down yet. |

Good product. Lacks some stability though. The intensity is pretty easy to regulate. Similar Products Used: None |

The basic pump/prime stove. I have had it for years, and have had no problems even after it has sat around for half a year and been beat around a bit. Good boil time. Not the lightest, but solid performer. Similar Products Used: None |

Stove lights everytime, simmers well, and hasn't leaked on me in the first year. Overall it's a little heavy but for $40, I can't complain. Also, unlike a friends Dragonfly, it doesn't make every living creature in a 20 mile radius run from the noise. |

this is the best stove in a long line of stoves I've used over the years. it burns very well at high altitudes unlike LPG. it is very stable on the ground. parts are obtainable almost anywhere, not that you will ever need them. this stove is bullet proof! after using this stove two of my buddies purchased the same and rave about them. Similar Products Used: svea, gerry flat lpg, whisperlight, camp gaz. the svea was to hard to prime. the gerry fell apart. the wisperlight damn near burned down the mountian. the camp gaz feul is to bulkey and does not burn well at high altitudes |
