If you want an affordable stove that's lightweight with good performance, the Peak 1 Micro is a good choice. I boiled a quart of water in about 3 1/2 minutes. The temperature control isn't very precise, however, so it's kind of difficult to get it down to a really low simmer without extingushing the stove. Result---slightly burned pancakes. Overall, though, if you need a low-price stove that functions like a high-priced one, this one should fit the bill. |

I LOVE THIS STOVE!! I don't know what these other people are saying, but I find this stove is excellent for its size. I also find the fuel canisters last a LONG time. All that you have to do is not crank the burner all the way up and you greatly increase the burn time. Similar Products Used: None |

I have found this stove to be great. I like not having to pour the fuel in and then pump it up. Its nivce just twisting on a canister and fireing it up. And it boils water very quick. At only $25 its a good deal. Similar Products Used: None |

I have used this little stove for 3 years, mostly in the summer. I have no problems with the stove. It's inexpensive, small & light, and puts out alot of BTU's. I do have a problem with the prop/butane fuel lindall valve cannisters, which the stove uses, though because I find that they are a pain to use in cold weather. I have found this stove will burn other propane/butane fuel mixtures in other brand name cannisters with the same valve quite happily. If you want a summer backpacking stove, I recommend it. These are the worst stoves. They are unrelaible, They are expensive, Because you have to buy new fuel canisters.Worst of all they don't work well, if at all at High Altitudes. And another thing, Once you open a fuel canister there is no closing it tell it's done, SO they are bulky Similar Products Used: None |

For only $25, this is one hell of a great little stove. It burns strong yet simmers excellent as well. Works best on the Peak 1 canisters, but I have also used it with Primus canisters with success. Lacks a windscreen so in strong wind it has some difficulties. However, I have always been able to cook with it anyways. Best of all, it fits inside my mess kit (minus the fuel canister of course). I recently bought a used Peak1 Micrc Butane stove for $15 at a garage sale. I had to shop around to find one of the smaller Peak1 cartridges for it - all the local sporting goods stores in my area seemed to be out of them, or not stocking them at all. That's a little worriesome. Anyway, the thing fires up right away and you are instantly cooking. I boiled a litre of water in just under 4 minutes, so the good press it gets for that seems to be accurate. It's about the easiest thing to use. I haven't actually cooked with it yet, and I understand the life of the small cartridge is only about 20 minutes. Still it looks like the stove will do very well for a solo backpacker, or more if people are willing to carry more fuel cartridges. All in all, it looks like a cool little stove and I am looking forward to trying it out. Customer Service None Similar Products Used: SVEA123, Optimus 99, Peak1 Multi-Fuel |

This is a great stove for the beginning backpacker or someone who is putting their pack weight on a diet. It uses screw-on, resealable butane/propane mix canisters that burn well even at higher altitudes. Flame ajustability is top notch, simmer to blowtorch and everywhere inbetween. It's only negative is a lack of windscreen. Customer Service Coleman has excellent customer service. Similar Products Used: None |

Great stove for 25 bucks. Haven't used it over 6600 ft. so don't know about high alt. function. It does lack a windscreen, but I effectively made one myself out of a thin piece of flashing. Fuel is sometimes a little hard to come by,but that is the only problem I have with it. I haven't found a smaller stove that works as well. Customer Service Haven't had to contact Coleman yet!
