This is a handy, easy, light, reliable stove. I would recommend it for overnighters and weekend trips. The drawbacks are the price of canisters, must pack out canisters, this fuel and cans are not great for the envirnoment, and it can't be used with an outback oven--DANGER! I BOUGHT THIS STOVE BEFORE A WEEK LONG TRIP IN THE SIERRAS. I WAS GOING TO USE MY 15+ YEARS OLD MSR XGK BUT AFTER TESTING IT OUT THE DAY BEFORE I LEFT THE PUMP HAD GOTTEN A CRACK. SO I WENT TO REI AND A CLERK RECOMENDED THE PRIMUS.THIS IS A GREAT LITTLE STOVE NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER.I USED IT WITH A MSR BOTTLE VERY STABLE AND FUEL EFFICIENT. Customer Service NONE WITH PRIMUS, BUT MSR WAS GREAT ABOUT GETTING A REPLCEMENT PUMP.XGK IS A BLOWTORCH GREAT FOR WINTER TRIPS BUT DOES NOT SIMMER.THE PRIMUS IS A GREAT THREE SEASON STOVE. This is a really great stove for the price. You can't beat $28. It boils quickly and packs away small and light. I would recomend it to anyone, whether new to backpacking or a veteran. Similar Products Used: None |

This stove is great. Absolutely no problems getting it to run (getting the wind screen on is tricky with cold hands though). No priming, easy to simmer. Outperformed an MSR (not sure which - it was a sore subject) and the Camping Gaz (which also ran well). I got this at REI for $28 US. It is often on sale. Identical to the Light Classic 3266, as far as I can tell. Stingy on fuel use - 1/2 a small bottle is fine for 2 day use (I also use the lantern and still don't run out on an overnight!) Buy this if you want no hassle cooking! Similar Products Used: SVAE 123R |

A nice stove with good flame characteristics and fair stability; however, I was greatly disappointed that the pizo-electric starter would not light the flame. I had to use a match. It is quite a bit hotter than my old SVEA 123 and is great for boiling water. The simmering ability is also very good. I didn't get the canister tripod. In retrospect I would rather have that than the igniter. Similar Products Used: SVEA 123, Peak 1 |

Does it get any better for the $$$? I paid $28 total for this great little stove. I have cooked in the worst conditions out there and this stove took it all. It is well balanced and isn't too top heavy. It boils in no time and cools very fast. Very fuel efficient and it is way light! Customer Service Nothing has broken so service is great! Bought this stove before my recent trip to Independance Pass near Aspen, Colorado. A breeze to set up (30 sec) and tear down, fired up instantly, boiled water quickly (2 cups in 1-2 minutes) and simmered beautifully. Temps were around 50deg and elevation was 12000 ft. Cooked for 2 people for 2 1/2 days on the small bottle of fuel (about 200g). It was actually an MSR bottle. Held pans easily. Biggest pluses are the ease of cooking and fast boil times. For 28 bucks, you can't beat it. Customer Service No need. Similar Products Used: MSR Whisperlite - Pain to set up in comparison and 2-3 times the price |
